Nordic Championships for Amateurs and Masters Held in Tidaholm

The Nordic Masters Road Championships 2025 were held on 23–24 August in Hökensås, Sweden, with more than 200 cyclists from across the Nordic region competing in both the time trial and road race. The event was organised by Cykelklubben U6, who have long experience hosting major competitions such as the U6 Cycle Tour, Swedish Championships, and national cup races.
This year's programme included a 30 km individual time trial on Saturday and a road race on a 31 km circuit on Sunday. Riders competed in U23/Elite (19–34 years without UCI points) as well as Masters age categories, while juniors took part in additional races outside of the official championship.
New Category Introduced
For the first time, a special category was introduced for riders aged 19–34 without UCI points. The initiative proved especially popular in the road races, with strong participation and close competition.
Nordic Success Across Categories
Throughout the weekend, medals were distributed widely among the Nordic nations 🇸🇪🇳🇴🇩🇰🇫🇮🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹, with both the time trial and road race showcasing the strength and depth of amateur and masters cycling in the region. Several riders secured double titles by winning both their time trial and road race events.
The championships once again highlighted the importance of the Nordic platform in providing competitive opportunities for amateur and masters riders, while also fostering collaboration between the federations.
