Nordic Cycling Meeting in Montreàl

The Nordic Cycling Meeting took place on 26 September 2026 in Montreál, Canada, during the UCI Congress and UCI ROAD World Championship. Representatives from Nordic and Baltic cycling federations was represented at the meeting IRL and by TEAMs link. Nordic Cycling was reviewing the season and discuss upcoming events 2027 and cooperations in the Nordic Cycling network.

The meeting was opened by Thomas Backteman, who welcomed all participants at the meeting. And even this meeting we had the onor to welcome the special guests included UEC President Enrico Della Casa and UCI President David Lappartient, who praised the Nordic Cycling assosiation as a importent player in the cycling family. And David put the light on the important role of have more big races/championship in the North part of Europe to develope countrys and riders in the region. 

During the meeting, Nordic Cycling presented some of the Nordic Championships for 2027. You get a short presentation of these races shortly. 

The next Nordic Cycling Meeting will be the annual meeting who take place during the 2027 UEC Congress in Vienna.
